What typically happens at a counseling session?

Every therapists is different, but a typical session would go like this. The first counseling session will be a time for you to tell your therapist what has been going on in your life and your goals for therapy.

How long does a therapy session last?

The typical therapy session lasts 50 minutes; however some therapists opt to use 60 minute sessions or longer depending on the type of therapy used.

Does therapy take place in the office or through telehealth?

All of our therapists are offering in person and telehealth sessions at the present time.

How much does therapy cost?

Each therapists sets their own rates. Associates range from $70 - $90 per session and our licensed therapist range from $100 - 150 per session.

What’s the difference between a licensed therapist and an associate?

A Licensed therapist is a clinician who has done all the necessary testing, experience and continuing education to be a Licensed Therapist in the state of California. An Associate therapist is someone who has completed the educational requirements, (Masters Degree) and is working toward getting a license by gaining hours of more experience. All Associates have their work supervised by a Supervisor, who is a Licensed therapist.

How long does therapy last?

The length of therapy depends on the goals of the client. Whether it is 3 months, 6 months or longer will depend upon you and your therapist. The troubled areas in your life did not happen overnight and will not resolve overnight. Be assured our therapists have your best interest in mind and use some of the latest brain based methods shown to resolve matters quicker than traditional methods.
